Most people associate insulated boots with being heavy in weight and very cumbersome. Until recently this wasnt that far off from the truth. Most outdoor enthusiasts who hike or hunt during the colder months would layer socks underneath their boots for added warmth. Although their feet didnt get cold, the comfort level was lacking severely. It was difficult to drive or walk for long periods of time this way.
